RD-156/CD-156 (Roof/Floor Deck)
Heavy duty steel deck such as RD-156 and CD-156 are the superior choice for built-up roofs and concrete floor slabs. The deck is a 36″ wide panel with a RD-156/CD-156 feature hook lap and 1.5″ deep ribs on 6″ centers. Embossments are available for composite applications.
The use of steel decking results in significant cost savings and is ideal for fast track construction. It is extremely lightweight with a high strength-to-weight ratio with non-combustible characteristics. Architects, engineers and owners are assured of excellent fire ratings. Acoustic roof deck is one example of using the decking material to perform multiple functions with very little increased cost. The acoustic deck provides a finished ceiling with noise reduction capabilities while still providing the required vertical and horizontal load resistance.
